Advocacy Education

Supports families in understanding and navigating special education and related school-based processes and facilitates constructive communication between families and schools. Services include:

• Information and guidance to help families understand their rights related to early intervention and public education services
• Support in understanding and requesting educational evaluations
• Assistance with understanding the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
• Coaching and support to help families prepare for conversations and meetings with early intervention providers and school district staff
• Support in identifying options for addressing service delivery concerns and resolving conflicts
